Considered the Father of European Painting, Giotto's influence cannot be overstated. His pre-Renaissance art was a precursor to the art of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Botticelli, among others. This box explores the Gothic art of Giotto including his works The Lamentation of Christ and Saint Francis. A mixed media project recreates Giotto's angels from The Lamentation of Christ using a crackle technique with acrylic paints. This art box includes materials for two students to complete the art project.
