Taking the time to study the tiny details of a flower is both awe-inspiring and peaceful. It was Georgia O’Keeffe’s belief that people needed to slow down and appreciate such fine details, that inspired her to create many intricate, close-up paintings of flowers, as well as numerous other works of art. In this lesson, your students will learn about the artist, her style, and her works of art. This art lesson includes lesson materials, art prints, and step-by-step instructions for a permanent marker and water-based marker creation of a detailed, close-up flower. This art box includes materials for two students to complete the art project.
